Super Saturday Soup - January Soup

1 lb. ground beef
1 small onion chopped
6 cups water
3 carrots, peeled and sliced
3 celery stalks, sliced
3 potatoes, peeled and chopped
2 tbsp Knorr bef instant stock mix (powdered in a can)
1 tsp basil
1 tsp parsley
1 tsp oregano

Brown beef and onion to crumble beef.  Add remaning ingredients and cook until vegetables are tender.  Taste and alter seasoning according to taste.

Variations:
1. Add cooked noodles before serving. (1 cup cooked)
2. Add leftover rice before serving.
3. Use stewing beef instead of ground beef.  Simmer beef until tender before adding vegetables.
