Give the gift of Gifts - A Wonderful Service Opportunity
Each year the Big Brother/Big Sisters organization sponsors a "Christmas Store" to give all children in the Lethbridge community the opportunity to Christmas shop for their families. An event this big requires much help from the community. This year 10th Ward is asking all families in the West Stake to donate appropriate gifts which children will then select and purchase (at very reasonable prices) for their family members (sisters, brothers, parents, grandparents).
Items don't need to be fancy but they must be new or in new condition. This doesn't need to be a costly thing for your family. Two years ago 10th Ward sisters went through items we already had and have things we simply hadn't used. We had so many great gifts to give to this "Store" and we de-cluttered in the mean time!
Some ideas may be: art/wood projects, jewelry, toys, gloves, wallets, games, hair products, clothing, tools, ties, art supplies, CD's, and DVD's gift wrapping supplies. Think like a child and you'll come up with some great ideas!
